Hi—we're Shay and Tanner, the husband-and-wife team behind Shay Renee Photography.
For nearly a decade, Shay has been photographing families, couples, weddings, and life's biggest milestones, creating timeless images that feel natural and genuine. Tanner brings a background in business, helping ensure every part of the experience is organized, seamless, and enjoyable from your first inquiry to your final gallery.
When we're not behind the camera, we're usually spending time with our three kids, exploring the mountains, visiting the beach, or making memories with family and friends. Those everyday moments have taught us that life's greatest treasures aren't things—they're the people we love and the memories we create together.

Mini Sessions
Our Mini Sessions are perfect for small families and families with young children who want beautiful, updated portraits without the time commitment of a full session. We offer mini sessions 8–10 times throughout the year at a variety of locations. Each session includes 20 minutes of photography, 40 professionally edited high-resolution digital images, and an online gallery for easy viewing and downloading. Starting at $250. Full Family Sessions
Our full family sessions are perfect for nearly every family and are our most popular offering. With up to 45 minutes of shoot time, there's plenty of opportunity to relax, explore, and capture genuine interactions without feeling rushed. The extra time allows us to create a wider variety of images—from beautifully posed portraits to the fun, candid moments that often become family favorites. Each session includes 80+ professionally edited, high-resolution digital images delivered in an online gallery. Starting at $400.
Extended Family Sessions
Our extended family sessions are designed to make gathering everyone together easy and enjoyable. With up to 1.5 hours of shoot time, we'll capture a beautiful full-family portrait, each individual family, and any additional groupings you'd like. Whether it's grandparents with the grandkids, siblings and their families, all the cousins together, just the granddaughters, or three generations, we'll make sure every meaningful combination is captured. Each session includes 200+ professionally edited, high-resolution digital images delivered in an online gallery, giving your entire family plenty of memories to look back on for years to come. Starting at $175 per participating family.
Newborn Sessions
The first days go by faster than you think. Our newborn sessions are calm, baby-led, and focused on preserving the tiny details and tender moments you'll never want to forget. We'll take our time, allowing plenty of breaks for feeding, soothing, and cuddles so everyone can relax and enjoy the experience. Each session includes 80+ professionally edited, high-resolution digital images delivered in an online gallery. Starting at $350
